Two Kesa, Japan, 18th/19th century, both with cut gold on a pale orange ground, one with a repeat pattern of alternating rows of lotus blossoms and tendrils, 60 x 40; the other with overall pattern of scrolling peonies, chrysanthemums, and leaves, 80 x 40 in.
