Giovanni Boldini (Italian, 1842-1931) Study of a Standing Nude, Said to be the Model "Dora. " Signed "Boldini" l.r., described in a dedication on a cardboard folder that accompanies the lot. Chalk, wash, and watercolor on paper, 11 x 8 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Soiling, foxing, sheet laid down on mat board support. Estimate $800-1,200 The dedication mentioned above, written in French, provides the name of the figure as Dora, Boldini's model, and states that she was also employed by Sargent when he was in Paris.
