Carved and Incised Uncle Sam Figural Pipe and Stand, signed with initials "J. D.C.," dated "1917" on the underside of the coattails, pipe bowl designed as Uncle Sam's top hat and head, his neck continuing to the pipe stem, which fits into the carved body with swinging arms, custom stand, ht. 16 1/2 in. Provenance: The collection of Harris Diamant, Kingston, New York.
