Gold- and Black-painted Bow-back Windsor Chair, New York, late 18th century, the beaded crest above nine spindles, shaped saddle seat, and bold vase- and ring-turned legs and stretchers, ht. 35 1/2, seat ht. 16 in. Note: An old, apparently handwritten label on the underside reads in part: "Henry Lock, New York, 1796."
