Attributed to Edward Williams (British, 1782-1855) Wooded Landscape with Figures by a Stream Unsigned, with a label from Arthur Ackerman & Son Ltd. , London, affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 19 x 25 in. (48.0 x 63.3 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch to fill craquelure. Provenance: A Connecticut estate. Estimate $700-900 House of Heydenryk frame measuring 26 1/2 x 32 1/4 in. Faint monogram or signature l.l. on the edge of the foreground boat, which might read "E Wms." Craquelure with some minor wrinkling to the craquelure in the l.l. corner.
