(32.5 x 22.7 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Purchased from F.R. Meatyard, London, in November of 1963, by George Wald, to the estate of George Wald, Cambridge, Massachusetts. N.B. The collector's stamp is that of Louis Deglatigny (1854-1936) of Rouen, France (Lugt, 1768a). The original bill of sale from F.R. Meatyard accompanies the lot. Estimate $300-500 When the frame was opened during preview, and the sheet is laid down on a secondary heavy piece of paper which is decorated with an applied ink border. The sheet itself measures 13 x 9 1/4 in. The work shows fading and toning, with a small stain to the u.l. quadrant.
