Pair of Staffordshire Pearl-glazed Earthenware Lion and Lioness Figures, England, late 18th century, each polychrome enamel decorated and modeled standing atop naturalistic bases, ht. 5 1/4 in. Estimate $500-700 Lion: Scattered abrsaions and light wear to highest relief of mane. very minimal enamel flaking. 1/4" chip and minor nicking about the footrim. Lioness: Chips to ears and surrounding footrim.
