Louis A. McMillen Wearable Art Pin Silver, copper Massachusetts, 1946 Hand-wrought, abstract and geometric devices with copper pin back, signed and dated, lg. 4 7/8 in. Note: Louis Albert McMillen (1916-1998) was an American architect, designer, and artist who was one of the original founding partners of The Architects Collaborative with Walter Gropius and six other architects. McMillen was part of TAC from its founding in 1945 until its demise in 1995. McMillen's silver pins were exhibited at The 2nd Annual Exhibition of Contemporary Jewelry, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis in March, 1948.
