French, 19th century. Regence caned walnut wood framed fauteuil or armchair with carved foliate and C scroll motif on shaped medallion back with caning above serpentine caned seat. Arms with dark green velvet fabric upholstery terminating on leaf tip and scrolling Overall raised on four cabriole legs with ornate carving throughout terminating on scrolled toes, legs joined with incurvate X form stretcher. Medallion at center of apron with scrolled accents and leaf motif. Approximate height 38.5", width 27.5", depth 20.75", seat to floor 15.75".
