Overall the painted surface showing faint abrasions visible mostly in raking light.
Painting exhibits one 1/2'' horizontal scuff to upper center of compostion 3'' from top edge. Lower right corner shows surface accretions in black pigment. Light 1 1/4'' scuff in blue pigment lower right corner approximately 7'' up from bottom. Edge of entire painting shows minor wear to unpainted perimeter.
Signed, titled and dated to verso 'Chromorphose 3.04 sig 26 VIII 73 Karl Gerstner'.
