Continental, 20th century. A pair of heavy ivorine Orientalist lamps to round wooden base with body carved in the round depicting a courtly woman in long robes bending slightly backward and holding a fan before her chest with a floral garland to her head over closed eyes and parted lips, back of lamp body a simulated tree trunk, lamps with black textile shade with black facetted bead fringe. Height to finial approximately 31.5", width of base approximately 6", width of shade approximately 16".
