Faint band of discoloration along extreme edges of board while showing few minute points of foxing in keeping with age. Fine vintage condition overall, with colors showing well. Framed behind glass @ 17.25 x 14.75 inches. In this drawing by Ray Eames, we see the Eames office bidding farewell to Phil Lewis as Ray hides her face and tears behind Charles. Phil Lewis was an early employee and photographer in the Eames office and he was the first employee to sell more than a million dollars of Eames designs in one year. Known as an early Marlboro Man, Ray depicts Lewis as a cowboy on a horse riding off into the horizon. The drawing was a going away gift for Phil in 1950 or 1951. USA, 1950-1951
