Surfaces have been cleaned and areas of inpainting have been undertaken as needed. Upper right and upper left quadrants display several areas of inpaint, largest being 1/2" by 1/2" and appearing under UV light. Lower left quadrant displays scattered points of inpainting and two thin vertical lines of inpainting near center, longest is 3" and all visible under UV light. Lower right quadrant displays small points of inpainting with largest being 1/4". A few very small points of lifting to paint with stable cracks in areas of darkest pigment and small points of loss to white margins. Thin scratch lower right 4". Framed without glazing measuring 32.75 x 44 inches. Signed and dated to lower right 'A 47'. Signed, titled and dated to verso 'Dark Albers '47'. This work will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné being prepared by the Anni and Josef Albers Foundation, registered as 1947.1.9. 1947
