General wear commensurate with age and use. Finish is worn overall with heavier 11" long horizontal band of wear to skirt on reverse. Top surface shows worn square in middle from desk pad, veneer chips, watermarks and heavy scratches visible in raking light. Drawers stick and do not open easily. Chips and dents to edges throughout, largest 1 1/2" x 3/4". The present lot was featured in a residence whose interior Arbus designed for a friend of Raymond Subes. Desk features two drawers. Sold with digital copy of a certificate of provenance from Aguttes, Neuilly-sur-Seine. France, c. 1945
