Frederick Field (English, 1919-1964). A 1946 sterling silver cigarette case of rectangular form with large enamel medallion to front depicting an Orientalist female nude in island landscape setting with white skirt wrapped around her waist below a bare torso with her arms stretched up and combing into her raven hair, the hinged case opening to reveal two gold vermeil compartments. Marked to interior of cover with maker's mark, standard mark, city mark for Birmingham, and date mark for 1946, interior of back cover with standard and date marks. Approximate height 3.5", width 3".
