(German/American, 1902-1985) Portrait of H. R. Hantke, c, 1930 17 x 22 inches In good, stable condition overall. Paint layer is thinly applied, causing minuscule areas of the canvas to show through. Examination under UV light reveals scattered areas of retouch, particularly on the proper-left side of the subject's face and on his shoulders. Having a horizonal "crease" line at about chinb level. Some dents to edge/corners of canvas board. Framed.
