American, 20th century to contemporary. A burlap upholstered settee or sofa comprising a tall gently arched back, arched arms, a lift off seat cushion over the rectangular seat and two burlap-upholstered pillows, the burlap upholstery continuing over the seat rail with decorative scalloped edges, the arms and sides with patinated nailhead trim, all raised on block and baluster turned legs and stretchers. Approximate height 44", width 77.75", depth 27", seat to floor 21.5". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
