Continental School, 17th/18th Century The Entombment of Christ, After Parmigianino (Italian, 1503-1540) Inscribed "Franc. so Parmigiano/Des plus Capitals" on the mat l.c. Ink wash with black chalk on paper, 14 7/8 x 11 1/4 in. (38.0 x 28.5 cm), framed. Condition: Laid down on a 19th century French mat support, oxidation of the lead white pigment. N.B. This is thought to be a later copy after Parmigianino.
