Old Hickory Furniture Co. (American (Shelbyville, Indiana), founded 1899), late 20th century. A matched set of rustic "John Muir" side chairs comprised of tree limbs coated with a clear finish for preservation, the seat backs comprising four stiles joined by a crest and stay rails to the tall stiles/back legs, over the seat upholstered in conforming paisley upholstery in shades of brown, black, beige, and rust, the lower sections of the legs each joined by a lower stretcher. Approximate height of chairs 41", width 19.25", depth 20", seat to floor 19.25".
