Francis Frith (British, 1822-1898) Eleven Photographs of Egypt , including three plates from Lower Egypt and Thebes and eight from Upper Egypt and Ethiopia , both published by William Mackensie, London, c. 1863. The majority signed in the negative l.r. or l.l. and identified on pre-printed mounts. Albumen silver prints mounted to paper, image/sheet sizes to 6 5/8 x 8 3/4 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Fading, minor wear and scuffing to mounts. Provenance: Property from the collection of Harvey Shipley Miller, proceeds to benefit the Philadelphia Museum of Art. N.B. The lot includes title and contents pages for each volume.
