(French, 1827-1875) Jeune pecheur a la coquille, 1857 bronze signed JB. Carpeaux Rome and with Propriete Carpeaux foundry mark to base Height 14 inches. Provenance: Steve Tipton Antiquarian, Louisville, Kentucky Areas of patination to the bronze throughout. Scattered, minuscule deposits of grime to the figure, particularly on the back, as well as accumulation of dust to the recesses. With minor surface scratches and nicks.
