circa 1800 comprising two plates and an oval serving tray, each having an undulating rim and painted to show a helmeted crest depicting a lion slaying a goat below a banner bearing the motto In Deo Spes Mea, decorated throughout with gilt floral sprays. Length of oval tray 10 7/8 inches. Property from the Collection of Mrs. R. Michael Gately, Winnetka, Illinois The oval tray and one plate in good condition with no apparent chips, hairlines or restoration, a few pits to the glaze. One plate in decent condition with one chips and a hairline to the mouth.
