18th century in two parts, the upper section with a molded cornice above a pair of doors, the lower section with a fall-front writing surface opening to a fitted interior above a pair of doors, all raised on short square legs. Height 91 1/2 x width 49 x depth 20 1/2 inches. Property from the Collection of David A. Beech, sold to benefit Mariners Church, Irvine, California Stable, attractive, sturdy condition. Scuffs, surface dust, minor chips and small wood losses, worm holes, scratches and discolorations/paint craquelure consistent with age. Areas of paint possibly retouched; entire secretary may have been re-painted, but not recently. A couple of filled age cracks; age separations in the back visible from the inside.
