19th century each in two parts, the tapering body having foliate scroll handles, with one side painted to depict figures in a landscape and the other painted to depict floral sprays, all against a green ground with allover foliate scroll gilt highlights, raised on a similarly decorated conforming base. Height 9 inches. Each with minor to moderate surface wear to the gilt highlights consistent with age; scattered areas of retouch to the gilt highlights throughout. A few minor edge chips to the lower glazed edge of each vase. Examination under UV light reveals areas of retouch to both handles, a minor segment of gilt highlights, and minuscule, dotted areas of retouch to the green ground surrounding the painted figural scene on one example. The other example shows minuscule, dotted areas of retouch to the green ground.
