Blue and White Cup and Dish, China, 19th/20th century, the cup, upturned bell-shape with slightly flared rim, resting on a raised foot, the exterior decorated in two rows with riders on horseback alternating with trees, the interior with a stylized landscape in a double ring on the well below a patterned band around mouth; the saucer a shallow dish-shape, the exterior decorated with a frieze of riders encircling a landscape with a rider in the well, the interior with two stylized bamboo sprays, both with four-character mark reading "mei yu ya zhi" on base, cup ht. 1 3/8, saucer dia. 3 7/8 in.
