National Monument to the Forefathers Sculpture, Hammatt Billings, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1867, robed figure of "Faith" mounted atop a bronzed metal pedestal with four figures at the base and inset text panels on the sides, ht. 22 1/4 in. Provenance: Descended through the family of Hammatt Billings. Family history states that there were three of these sculptures created; one given to the Boston State House, a second given to the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and this one.
