Late 20th Century. With etched signature S. Signoretto. The standing man with arms crossed and wearing a mandarin hat, colorless to translucent black. Height 27”. (Cond: good) (2000/2500) Cf. Venetian maestro Silvano Signoretto, (b. 1951) is the 3rd of 8 brothers, all of whom worked in Murano at various glass studios, with many preeminent masters. Silvano trained with the master Alfredo Barbini. Both he and his brother Pino became masters in the 1960’s.
