19th century the domed crest centered with a rocaille cartouche issuing flowers and foliate scrolls over the shaped vertical mirror plate. Height 63 inches. Property from the Collection of Dr. Robert Steinberg, East Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Illinois In decent, fairly stable condition overall. Mirror plate in good condition. Scattered, largely tight age splits throughout, particularly to the crest. Patches throughout where frame has been re-gilt, as well as patches of rubbing and loss to the gilt. One scrolled segment of the crest with a repair and an instance of subsequent loss. Accumulation of dirt and grime to the recesses. Mirror is 32 3/4 inches wide.
