19th century surmounted by the figure of an eagle over a convex mirror plate and three S-scroll candle arms. Height 32 x width 17 1/4 inches. Property from the Estate of Nadine P. Martens, Glen Ellyn, Illinois In decent, fairly stable condition overall. Gilt with areas of retouch and overpainting. Scattered tight age cracks and subsequent instances of surface loss throughout. Repaired throughout, particularly evident on the eagle form crest and the lower element issuing the candle arms.
