Henkel Harris (American (Virginia), 1946-). Federal style mahogany inlaid serpentine sideboard from the "Virginia Galleries" collection, featuring a solid mahogany shaped top surmounted with brass gallery rail and serpentine front over a conforming case with two graduated long drawers, the top drawer fitted with a silver liner and flanked to each side by cupboard doors, both opening to a full storage compartment all above geometric decorative inlaid banding of maple and obeche. All drawers with hand applied beading, solid brass eagle hardware pulls and individual locking mechanisms. The whole raised on square tapered legs with line inlays and prima vera cuff. Top drawer branded "Virginia Galleries Furniture by Henkel-Harris, Winchester, Virginia". Approximate height with gallery 41", height without gallery 38.5", width 66", depth, 26". Note: Retails new for over $8,300.00.
