French, early to mid 19th century. A Provincial style carved walnut settee, having a serpentine crest rail, carved with stylized flowers, with shaped arms, a serpentine seat rail carved with stylized flowers, and six incurvate legs, each carved with flowers, with two removable seat cushions, upholstered in linen fabric decorated with peaches with red cording. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 31.125", width 50", seat depth 18", seat to floor 20.5".
