Three pieces of Continental sterling silver accessories, Italian and Russian, comprising an Italian small oval snuff box have floral engraved top; a mechanical lipstick case having a foliate chased, embossed decoration to each side and ends; and a Russian silver and simulated tortoise shell comb. The snuff back stamped to the interior "MADE IN ITALY 800" and approximately 1" long. The lipstick case hallmarked "800", approximate height 2", width .75". The comb stamped "800" with late 19th Russian city stamp mark. Approximately 7.87" x 1.5". Overall approximate weight 1.09 troy ounces (not including comb). Provenance: Property from the Estate of Mr. John L. Roper II, Former Owner and CEO of NORSHIPCO (Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corporation), of Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Roper collected a number of fine American antiques and art including a noteworthy early American coin collection that sold at auction in 2014.
