After Guglielmo della Porta (Italian, 1500-1577), "Boy with Splinter"-circa 1560, patinated bronze with striated green marble base, apparently unsigned. A 20th century rendering after the 14th century original by noted Italian sculptor Guglielmo della Porta (Italian, 1500-1577) depicting a nude figure seated on a naturalistically rendered stump, attending to a splinter in his left foot. Overall approximately 22.5" x 13" x 14". Provenance: From the Private Collection of the Owner of Chelsea House.
