Gorham (American (Rhode Island), founded 1831). A sterling silver 1-1/4 pint chocolate pot, likely from the "Plymouth" pattern with hinged lid and short, pierced spout, the shield shaped body engraved with foliage to the upper portion, a cartouche (no monogram) to the lower section and terminating on an oval foot. Hallmarked to the underside for Gorham with "STERLING/A2808/ and 1 1/4 PINT. Approximate height 8.78". Approximate weight 14.63 troy ounces.
