American, late 19th/ early 20th century. A collection of four articles of American silverplate comprising a combination napkin ring set by Rogers, Smith & Co. (American, 1857-98), circa 1862-77, model no. 5, comprisng marquis shaped base supporting a pepper shaker, open salt bowl and central napkin ring raised on u-shaped stand with openwork scrolls and a dancing figural boy, marked to underside for maker; an Art Nouveau butter dome by Pairpoint (American, 1880-1958), model 380, having round form raised on spreading ring foot with double loop form handles to either shoulder, pierced removable tray to interior, and domical lid, allover with relief decoration of intertwining foliate stems and leaves, marked to underside for maker; a toothpick jar by Meriden Silver Plate Co. (American, founded 1808), model 087, having loving cup form with scrolling handles to either side of scalloped rolled rim, etched to front "TAKE YOUR PICK", marked to underside for maker; and a Meriden Britannia Company silver plated chamberstick, model 95, having spade shaped base raised on three feet and issuing putti emerging from a foliate scroll as support for a single candle cup, with loop handle to back side, underside marked for the maker. Butter dome height approximately 6.5", width over handles 8.5". Napkin ring approximate height 6.75", width 6.5", depth 4.25". Pick jar approximate height 2", width over handles 3". Chamber stick approximate height 4", width 5", depth 3.875".
