Fritz Saliger (Vienna, Born 1896), framed oil on canvas depicting a winter landscape; measures approximately 31-3/8" tall x 43-5/16" wide with a sight image of 23-3/8" tall x 35-1/2". Signed to lower right with placard to center lower frame. Artist bio reverso. Fritz Saliger studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and travelled a lot through Europe. His brother, Ivo Saliger, is famous for his monumental Nude-paintings which were exhibited in the Munich "Haus der Deutschaain Kunst". Fritz Saliger was awarded prizes in Luxembourg, Italy and Germany and particularly his landscape-paintings became very popular.
