Blue-painted Nairne-style Cylinder Electrostatic Generator Table, possibly New York State, early 19th century table with hinged front drawer and stretcher base, sliding apparatus tabletop holding the two vertical uprights with delicately turned finials, crank arm for turning the colorless glass cylinder, (lacking conductors), table lg. 40, wd. 20 ht. 44 in. Note: Reportedly found in Athens, New York, in the 1960s.
