Isaac Rogers Ebonized Quarter-chiming Table Clock, London, c. 1765, veneered and ebonized oak case with sarcophagus top, four cast brass finials and carrying handle, glazed dial door with spandrels in the arch, glazed openings on the case sides all on brass bracket feet, the composite brass dial with roman numeral chapter ring, Strike-Silent in the arch all flanked by cast brass spandrels, recessed date, three winding holes, and mock pendulum inside the chapter ring, pierced steel hands, fully engraved back plate signed Isaac Rogers/London , eight-day time and strike fusee movement (quarter-chime train now gone) with verge escapement, ht. 21 in. with handle raised.
