Appointing Randolph Monteith Second Lieutenant in the Second Regiment of the Artillery. Full Lincoln signature at bottom right, countersigned by War Secretary Stanton. Old folds, with blue paper seal and docketed on the recto, some minor discoloration, 19 1/2 x 16 in.
