Birth of Flowers. Manufacturer unknown, ca. 1880s. A miniature pot sewn with a few seeds is suddenly filled with daisies after it has been covered by a brass tube. 6" x 2 ". Age-consistent tarnish, else good. A comparable piece of apparatus is described in Hoffmann's Modern Magic (London, 1876) pp. 411-412.
