Pencil Through Coin. English, ca. 1900s. An antique miniature wooden frame with brass rim and eyelet that reveals a T. Nelson Downs "King of Koins" token. A pencil drives a silk handkerchief through the token. With a handwritten note of provenance and instructions stating that the item was obtained from the grandson of famed author-magician Professor Hoffmann (Angelo J. Lewis) in 1943.
