19th century leather embossed and stitched manuscript cover, the front with three sections depicting mythological scene, the top and bottom decorated with classically robed nymphs and winged cherubs pulling a maiden in chariot, the middle scene depicting Greek God seated amidst attendants, the interior of covered lined in green silk enclosed by side flaps embossed with scrolling foliage and grotesque masks. Height 15.5", width 11.5". Note: Consignor believes the cover to be from Philo G. Bumham, politician from Dayton Ohio, Stroop Family.
