JAEGER LECOULTRE REF. 858 PARKING MEMOVOX STEEL Jaeger LeCoultre "Memovox", case No. 943456, Ref. E858. Production started in the 1950's. Fine and unusual, and very rare center-seconds, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with alarm, parking-meter elapsed time indication, two crowns. Two-body, polished, the crown at 2 o'clock activates the central revolving alarm and parking-meter display, lapidated lugs. Two-tone silver with applied steel dart indexes. "Dauphine" stainless steel hands. Cal. 814, 13''' rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring. Notes Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 35 mm. THICKNESS 12 mm. Produced in approximately 216 pieces, the JAEGER LECOULTRE PARKING ALARM is one of the rarest MEMOVOX produced. This is the first series featuring a screw-down ring covering the caseback rather than the later REFERENCE 3161 that had a snap-back. This example has been kept in pristine condition with clear outer serial numbers and a mint dial.
