18th century each having a lift-off cover with a loop handle, painted with birds, fruit and flowers against a white ground with gilt highlights, having a shield mark in underglaze blue. Width over handles 9 3/4 inches. Property from a Chicago Collector, Formerly of Lake Forest, Illinois Provenance: By repute, Collection of Prince Johann II of Lichtenstein Illustrated: Josef Folnesics, Geschichte der k.k. Wiener Porzellan-Manufaktur, 1907 (accompanied by a copy of illustrated page) Good condition; scratches consistent with age. One with a very, very slight chip to the top of its handle. One with a firing crack to its underside.
