Provenance: The artist Gifted to Lucy Merrill Her Nephew Peter Nahum at the Leicester Galleries, London Acquired from the above by the present owner in 1999 Note: Inscription written in pencil on verso reads "This is a drawing of my Great-Aunt Lucy Merrill, presented to her by Edward Burne-Jones 1886 in gratitude for her nursing him through his illness. J. Stephenson".
