TREK MOVIE CIRCA 1977/1978 A set of two Enterprise stationery letters and envelopes circa 1977 and 1978 pertaining to the first Star Trek film, Star Trek : The Motion Picture (Paramount, 1979). Both letters are from Post-Production Associate Producer Paul Rabwin, regarding sound engineering. The first letter stationery exhibits a more rudimentary design, while the second, about a year later, features a more sophisticated movie design. The two letters – dated December 12, 1977 and November 27, 1978 – are addressed to synthesist Dennis Lee Askew, who had provided the pre-production team with dozens of cassettes with hundreds of effects as samples to consider bringing him onto the production team. Both letters also include the original postmarked envelopes. An interesting peek into the early stages of production of one of the most successful film and television sci-fi franchises of all time. Each, 8 1/2 by 11 inches Categories:
