Rogers, Smith & CO (American, 1877-1904), circa late 19th century. Victorian pickle castor with lid, tongs, frame and emerald green ribbed blown glass insert resting in the pierced circular band and raised on a foliate decorated circular base. The underside of base stamped "ROGERS SMITH & CO MERIDEN CT QUADRUPLE 280 USA". The tongs apparently unmarked. Approximate overall height 9.25".
