Samuel Clarke (English, with patented designs for the fairy lamp 1857-1908), fourth quarter 19th century. Rare domed fairy lamp centerpiece candelabra on polychrome floral reverse painted mirrored plateau, the cranberry Verre moiré (Nailsea-type) shade with matching ruffled crimped base and Cricklite pegged lamp cup set in a fitted mount centered in the mirrored plateau with three rounded feet resting on circular wood base under a glass dome cloche. Pegged cup is marked with stsandard "S CLARKES PATENT TRADEMARK FAIRY". Approximate overall height 16", diameter of wood base 13.5". Approximate height of fairy lamp of mirrored plateau 7.5", diameter of plateau 9.75".
