Palais Royal, circa 1880s. Unusual blue opaline and ormolu double egg basket trinket box casket or bonbonnière (a small fancy box or dish for bonbons) with intertwined twisted gilt handle with ball stick pull for lifting centering the two blue opaline glass eggs, each having ormolu decorated hinged lids opening to vacant interior and attached with chains to the ormolu woven basket. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 4.75", width 4.75".
