A sterling silver trumpet vase of traditional form having spreading domical foot issuing tall conical body with flaring rim, with reeded details below rim and to foot. Engraved to underside "Amateur Championship of American Single Targets / New York Athletic Club May 8, 1948 3rd High Gun". Marked to underside "Tiffany & Co Makers Sterling Silver 17040 M" indicating manufacture during the directorship of Louis deBebian Moore. Approximate height 12.125", diameter of mouth 4.75". Approximate weight 22.6 troy ounces.
